My first visit to IMATS London!
Believe it or not, despite being a makeup addict and beauty blogger, I’ve never been to IMATS. Well that’s all about to change and I’m going to my first ever IMATS in London next weekend!
If you’re not familiar, IMATS stands for International Makeup And Trade Show. It’s ‘international’ because the show pops up in various cities around the world throughout the year, and at the end of June it’s London’s turn! The London show is now hosted at Earls Court Olympia, so it’s pretty easy to get to on the tube from most parts of London.
IMATS is a bit of a massive makeup extravaganza, there are various talks and demonstrations scheduled throughout the weekend, and of course there are lots of beauty brands on hand showcases their products and often selling at special discounted prices for the show too.
I’ve been researching last summer’s IMATS by looking at some blog posts and vlogs from people who attended and it’s getting me really excited to experience it all for myself. Annie's haul was amazing, especially all of the discounted Nars products she picked up!
Andrew and Jayne did a great vlog showing lots of the goings on at last year's IMATS, and Leanne's haul literally makes me want to cry with happiness!
I’m already making a list in my head of products I hope to pick up while I’m there – in particular I’m looking forward to the stands from MAC, Crown Brush, OCC, Makup Forever, Inglot, Bobbi Brown and NYX, as well as discovering new brands. I'm planning to buy some Crown brushes for the first time and I'll be making a bee line for the NYX stand to add more of their amazing lip butter glosses to my collection, but other than that I'm going to see what takes my fancy on the day - I'm sure plenty will!
In between excessive shopping I want to make sure to get to see lots of the amazing looking demonstrations and maybe to catch a talk or two. I'm also looking forward to meeting up with some other crazy makeup lovers including Sheenie, Kat, Leanne, Bicky and Annie.
IMATS is open to the general public on the Saturday and Sunday and tickets for the Sunday are still available here. See you there!
