Power Dad!
Father's Day is just around the corner-- next weekend, June 15th to be exact. While I'm glad dad's do get a day all to themselves to be celebrated, we should really be thanking them and cheering for them all-year round, ya know?
For the years of playing "Pretty, Pretty Princess" with their two daughters… jewelry and crown and all.

For driving us to countless school events, friend's houses, practices, vacations… you know you felt like you had a chauffeur as a kid.
For always being the one who said yes to "treats" like cookies and ice cream… even when mom had already said no ;)

For taking us to church each week and teaching us what it really meant to be a Christian… and for always setting that example.
For instilling in me a love of sports. Sure there are more important things in life… but gosh darnit, sports are fun!

When I think about my Dad, I just think of him as a "Power Dad" because it seems he can do it all. I'm looking forward to celebrating him next weekend and letting him know how much he means to not just his immediate family, but all his extended family and really anyone he meets, too. My dad has never met a stranger, that it the absolute truth. He is a loved guy and I hope he knows that!
