So yesterday, this happened and I had to be all vague and mysterious about it:
But no more mystery. Many of you have sent your prayers and well-wishes my way throughout the looooong adoption journey my sister and her husband have been through. I think the last update I gave you all was back in
October when we thought things were going to be finalized soon. It's been a waiting game ever since, with details I won't share- but month after month we waited, and worried. So you can probably imagine my reaction when I got the following news yesterday:
AFTER 14 MONTHS THE ADOPTION IS FINALLY OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL!!!
I spazzed. I cried. I almost fell out of my chair. And I most definitely celebrated with a Mountain Dew and a few Starburst at work. My sweet little niece has been with our family since she was born and now a huge burden of worry and anxiety is lifted from us all. No more worrying, or waiting. My sister has been so strong and amazing through the entire process and I am so proud of the amazing mother she is. My niece is the luckiest girl in the world to have them as parents!
