It's a Tie

Football games are one thing I know for sure aren't supposed to end in a tie. There's always a better team! One team should walk away at the end of that hard-fought game a WINNER. Another mark in their "W" column. And there should be a loser... a team that just couldn't pull it together enough to score the most points. Sadly, in pro football- there is such a thing as a tie and it feels just as crappy as a loss. My Bengals battled it out in a crazy game yesterday- man, they play with your emotions. Never have I felt so elated and so upset within such a short period of time.
Sometimes I wish I didn't love football as much, 'cuz boy it hurts when you lose. Or tie. However, I can't let myself get all tied up (see what I did there?) in a football game- because the rest of my weekend was pretty fantastic. Especially Saturday; I'm pretty sure I said to Jared a thousand times, "I love this day!" Here are a few things in life that are okay when they tie:
Steak Asparagus

Jared and I were craving a good steak dinner and while we were tempted to go out, we knew we could make something pretty tasty at home for probably half the cost. This delicious - so delicious! - dinner only cost us $14 total!
Fall Decor Fall Candles

Both are vital to this time of year! With our free day Saturday we let ourselves take our "annual" trip to Hobby Lobby and buy one new thing for our fall collection. While I wanted everything that store sells, we settled on a cute table runner with a fun pattern! It looks perfect with our other decorations and the fall candles that are burning constantly in our home.
Pinecones Pumpkins

Again- vital items to the fall season. You can never have enough of either! I've got them in multiple vases throughout the house and they just add a touch of seasonal fun to every room they're in.
Being Silly Being Sweet

I'm so thankful I've got a fun husband who loves to have a good time and isn't ashamed to act like a big kid with me sometimes. We totally spent Saturday night playing Mario Kart Wii and I wouldn't have it any other way. Except maybe I wish I would have beat Jared more than once- I've got some practice to do! ;) And at the same time, Jared is such a romantic and does the little things that always mean the most to me. Packing my lunch before a long day at work, making sure my car has gas in it so I wouldn't have to fill it up myself at 7am and sending me sweet texts to get me through my days. I'm one lucky girl, that's for sure. He treats me like gold, even when I don't deserve it.
So just to summarize what we've learned today. Football should never, ever end in a tie... but I'm definitely okay when the good things in life tie. What about you?
