Travel: Postcards from Abu Dhabi

Isn't it awesome that blogs seem like they're always on vacation even though you've been home ages already? Well I kind of like the extended vacation feel and since I'm always putting other blogposts in between, this gets delayed ;). Anyway after my two looks in Abu Dhabi here and here, I still owed you guys an overview of this mini vacation after the tour in India. Well what can I say about Abu Dhabi? It has stunning architecture (high rise buildings right next to the beach), the weather is sunny & warm, not too humid either. It's actually not that far a flight from Belgium and it's an exotic location. And I'm guessing it's a lot more calm than Dubai (although I certainly want to visit that too one day).

Now what does one do in Abu Dhabi you ask? Well take a city tour or be lazy and tan on the beach or go shopping of course! There were so many malls there, we chose the Marina Mall. It's funny how it's totally not different from any other Western malls, all the big brands are there: Zara, Mango, Topshop,… But of course also the expensive stores like Chanel, Gucci, Versace,… If only I had a money tree for those brands haha. I did think it was a shame we didn't find more stores with stuff you couldn't just buy here in Europe. But yeah as you can tell from the photo's we mostly tanned on the beach otherwise, could you blame us?
