Sephora Honeymoon Haul

When Mr WLL and I travelled to America on our honeymoon, I couldn't visit the Florida Mall without heading into Sephora. I didn't go super crazy as I was all about the designer fashion while I was out there but I did buy a few things that are either not available in the UK, are cheaper than they would be in the UK or that I have been lusting after for a while, after all, I was on my honeymoon and if you can't treat yourself then, when can you?!

Sephora Favourites Meet Your Match Kit
As soon as I walked through the door of Sephora, I saw that they had a stand with gift sets on with minis inside them. There was one that really stood out to me called the Sephora Favourites Meet Your Match Kit. This is where 'the seasons most covetable lip colours meet their match with coordinating polishes in a range of high-gloss finishes.' Theres six different products in the kit, three lip products and 3 nail products, all from six different brands. First there is the Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss and the Nails Inc Devonshire Row Nail Polish which are two products that are paired together as they're similar pinky purple colours, Hourglass Cosmetics Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss in Child and the Formula X Nail Colour in Invincible which again are complimentary nude shades and finally there is the Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Tint in Elite and the Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer in Girls Just Want to Have Fun which again, appear to be similar coral shades.
What I love about this set is that it is a great way to try out all of the different brands without committing to buying the full size product. The only brand here that I've tried before is Nails Inc however I've not worn this shade before so I'm very excited to try out all of the combinations to see what I think of them. I'll do some posts featuring the nails and tips combos once I'm back from Barbados. This set was $25 which I think is superb value for money.

Sephora Nail Art Set
Speaking of nails, I also bought a Sephora Nail Art Set which includes a marbling and dotting tool and a thin paint brush to help to create precise designs on the nails. I have been wanting to buy one of these for ages so when I saw this set for $10 I had to pop one in my basket.

OCC Lip Tar in Electric Grandma
I also bought a Lip Tar in the colour Electric Grandma from the brand Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. I've heard a lot about the OCC Lip Tars over the years while I've been blogging and really wanted to try one. They come in a little plastic zip lock pouch with a brush to apply it with and instructions on how best to apply it. I'm looking forward to giving this a go as I've heard that they're incredibly long lasting. These were $18 each so I just bought the one in case I didn't like the formula!

Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara
Another product that I have heard SO MUCH about over the years is the Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Extra Black Mascara which I have heard is great at volumising, lengthening and curling the lashes. I had lash extensions applied for my wedding so it'll be a while before I get to try this out yet but expect a review on it when I have tried it. This mascara was $23.

Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con Palette in No 7 Lolita
One product that I had my eye on from back in the UK was the Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con eyeshadow palette, specifically number 206, The Lolita palette. I've heard SO MANY rave reviews about this product however I'm always a little skeptical about the reviews I hear online these days so I wanted to swatch the shadows before buying the palette as it is pretty pricey at $59 for seven shadows. After swatching them in Sephora, I could see that they were lovely and pigmented on first impressions which made me then buy the palette. I've not tried it out yet at the time of typing up this haul but I'll do some swatches and different eye make up looks when I have had a chance to fully try it out. The palette itself is very sleek and comes in a cloth pouch which is a lovely touch. The only thing I don't like about the palette so far is that it comes with this random cheap sponge applicator brush that I wouldn't use in a month of Sundays.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Tipsy
The last make up item that I bought was the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in the colour Tipsy. There was such a beautiful shade selection available and they were all intensely pigmented but I chose this one as I thought it was such a beautiful colour and different to any other blush that I have in my collection. I can't wait to try out some make up looks using this while I'm away and I'll review it for you all soon. It was $26. Tarte are coming to the UK to QVC soon if they haven't already; I'm not sure what products will be available but if I like this blush then I'd definitely consider buying more.

Origins Clear Improvement Mask
Moving onto skincare, I bought the Origins Clear Improvement mask. This is an active charcoal mask that is designed to clear the pores by acting as a magnet to draw out impurities from the skin. I've wanted to try this for such a long time but I've always had different masks on the go that I've been trying out to review. It was $24 which makes it a great deal cheaper than the £22 it retails for in the UK.

Sephora Extractor with Lance
Also for my skin, I bought a Sephora Blemish Extractor with Lance which has a lancet to pierce whiteheads and a loop to push out blackheads. Yes, I'm someone who can't resist squeezing spots. I get them very rarely so when I do it is a bit of a novelty. I wanted to buy one of these little tools to try to be a little more precise on my skin and perhaps more gentle which sounds ridiculous saying given that the Blemish Extractor is a metal tool! It retails for $19.

Sephora Prelude To A Kiss Fragrance Sampler For Her
Finally I bought the Sephora Favourites Prelude to a Kiss Fragrance Sampler For Her for $24. This is a little set of six different fragrance samples- Chloe See By Chloe, Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gioia, Gucci Premiere, Marc Jacobs Honey, Ralph Lauren Romance, Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb. What I liked about this set is that you get to try out all of the different perfumes and then you can exchange the voucher inside the box for a rollerball perfume of your favourite scent from the set for free.

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Rollerball Fragrance
I exchanged mine for a full size of the Flowerbomb fragrance as it was the only one that I knew for definite that I liked. This would have usually retailed for $29 if I had bought it without the Fragrance Sampler set. It will make a great perfume to put in my handbag.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser
While at Sephora, I signed up to their Beauty Insider loyalty programme and was able to get two 100 point perks which are freebies that you get when you've spent a certain amount of money. The first product I picked was the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser which has a broad spectrum SPF 20 sunscreen included within in it and it claims to provide lightweight flawless coverage.

Nude Advanced Renewal Serum
The second Beauty Insider perk that I chose was the NUDE Advanced Renewal Serum for the face which I am really looking forward to trying out as my skin is really being put through its paces while I'm in the sun all day everyday at the moment.
A couple of days after I bought the products above, we ended up back at the Florida Mall for me to collect a bag from Nordstrom that I had ordered. I popped back into Sephora to purchase some things that I have wanted for years and that's the Urban Decay Naked Palettes.

Urban Decay Naked Palette 1, 2 and 3
If you've been a reader of my blog since the beginning you'll know that I've been trying to exercise a one in one out policy when it comes to my beauty products and I've really been making an effort to not buy new products until I've used up the ones I already have, which is quite difficult when you're a beauty blogger. During my time blogging, I've seen each Naked Palette release, lusted after them and resisted buying each one purely because I do have other neutral shadows in my collection. I've been making a conscious effort to use up a lot of my neutral shadows up and I've done quite well so I decided to finally purchase the three Naked Palettes while in Sephora. These were $54 each and each palette came with a pack of 4 Urban Decay Primer Potion samples that are supposed to have around a weeks worth of product in each sample pod.

Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover
I also picked up the Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover which is Sephora's answer to that Bourjois instant nail remover or whatever its called... the little pot with the sponge and the nail polish remover in for $9.50.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More
At the till, I was able to get another free 100 point perk so I chose the Dr. Brandt Pores Nor More pore refiner primer and to my delight, I was upgraded to the VIB card. Although given that we don't have Sephora in the UK and the chances of me ordering online are very slim, I doubt I'll be using it.

So that's it for my Sephora haul. Do let me know in the comments if there's any products you'd like to see reviews of sooner than others but otherwise expect a review in the next couple of months as there's a lot to get through here!
Sephora now ship to the UK although they are very limited with which products they do actually ship but their website is still worth checking out here.
