Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil

Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil
Over the summer, I started to experiment with different colours on my eyes in a subtle way to enhance my eye make up looks and I'm still experimenting to this day. I have hazel eyes and apparently it is quite unusual to be naturally so fair with dark eyes so I really want them to stand out.

Rather than applying very colourful eyeshadow all over my lids, I really like to run it along the lower lash line as a pop of colour or slightly blended in the outer corner of my lid. The effect can be really subtle when using eyeshadow however I have recently discovered something that adds much more of a pop of colour and that is by using a pencil rather than shadow, most specifically, the Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil.

The Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil is the most beautiful indigo blue coloured eye pencil that I think would suit any eye colour. I have often stayed away from blue toned eye shadows and pencils, in favour of greens, purples and copper colours, as I didn't think that blue would suit my hazel eyes however I think that it really makes my eyes pop and gives a subtle hint of colour to an otherwise neutral make up look.

It can be used as a normal pencil liner in the water and tightlines, along the lash line to frame the eyes or even as an eyeshadow because if you work quickly before it dries, you can smudge it out with the sponge applicator that is on the other end of the pencil to use it as an eyeshadow rather than as an eyeliner.

I have been really enjoying using this along my upper lash line to create a winged eyeliner look and to line my lower lash line too to add a pop of colour and definition to my eyes. The colour of the pencil has just the right amount of darkness to it to add definition to the eyes in the way that a black eyeliner would but it also has a way of catching the light as it has a slight metallic hint to it that really makes the indigo hues stand out.

What I love the most about this eye pencil is that it is smudge proof so I can wear it on my upper lid as a liner without it transferring into my crease when I open my eyes. That's because it dries down, comfortably, after about 20 seconds and sets in place so it doesn't smudge or transfer throughout the day. I've worn this on a few busy days out and it has stayed completely put which I find is very rare for eye pencils.

The colour pay off of this eye pencil is absolutely amazing as you can see in the photo above. It is incredibly pigmented and very creamy which makes it so easy to apply because it is soft and the pencil imparts the colour straight away so there is no dragging on your eyes.

I cannot recommend this eye pencil enough. It has been an excellent introduction to the Eye of Horus brand for me as I haven't heard much about them before. After looking into their products a little more, I have discovered that not only do their products perform incredibly well but they do so without any parabens, they're all rich in essential oils and natural waxes and they do not test on animals.
