What To Do Wednesday and Hump Day Mail

Happy hump day afternoon. Not sure how things are on your end, but we’re struggling this afternoon getting over this darn hump. Time to push through a bit. Anyone else?

Let’s see….

Just in case you ever find yourself scrambling at the last minute for something for dinner. Well, you thank Trader Joe’s for having a variety of frozen pizza options for the family.

We had a little something for everyone last night.

After frozen pizza we dance obviously.

Yes, the return of the booty dance.

I got a late start to the day today so my run ended up being just over 3 miles on the treadmill instead of my planned 7. Oh well.

The boys and I went to the gym shortly afterwards. I taught my spin class and then decided to do some multi-tasking and with some easy shallow water pool running and random kicking with the kickboard

while spying on the boys during their swim lessons.

I like to keep just the right distance away.

Then we had to test out the cool new lounge chairs.

We recently discovered a new fruit bar from Trader Joe’s.

The only ingredients are apples and mangos and they don’t really melt in the car. Score.

I felt like an egg white scramble once we got home and since it was lunch time I decided to throw it on top of some organic kale from Costco and make it a salad.

It was a chicken apple sausage with egg whites in coconut oil. I used and African Smoke Seasoning from Trader Joe’s and topped it with Scotty B’s sweet habanero hot sauce.

Good stuff.

I followed it up with some chilled Love Grown Foods Super Oats and fresh strawberries with cinnamon and almond milk.

I have been going all out lately with my sugar consumption and letting way too much of both the real stuff and the artificial stuff sneak back in over the past month or so. It’s kind of like a downward spiral isn’t it? It’s also not really making me feel that great and makes me grumpy, so I’m trying to clean things up a bit.

Moderation is really not my thing and not feeling good because of not fueling properly on top of being sad about Kitty is just not a good combination. Beavis. Time for a bit of a change friends. Nothing drastic, just time to make some better decisions. That’s a chat for another day though.

Anyhoo……..

I keep forgetting to tell you about this awesome event that’s happening this year at IDEA World Fitness Convention. It’s the convention of all conventions. I LOVE it and attend it every year I get a chance to do so.

A couple of highlights from my last time there are here: the first day, a glimpse at the sessions and a HIIT workout and the amazing expo. Oh my word, seriously the best conference ever.

Well, this year they’re doing something special and having an IDEA World Fitness Blogfest.

Here’s a quick rundown of what you get with Blogfest.

Sounds like a blast, right?

Use code stuftfitness30CA14 for $100 off the price.

If you register before July 15th, you can get a free gift from Reebok.

Since the past week and a half have been a whirlwind, I had quite the mail pile up going on over here.

Here’s a little photo dump of our mail goods.

I got a cool package of Nuun Energy.

I actually bought a tube of this at the Big Sur Marathon expo. It has 40 mg of caffeine per tube, electrolytes and added B vitamins. You can find all the nutritional info here.

I’m a fan of the cherry limeade flavor and usually just add it to water with a splash of apple cider vinegar.

I also got some packages of Ricky’s Lucky Nuts to sample.

Flavored nuts in a single serving bag? Spicy flavors and sweet ones too? I couldn’t turn those down.

I haven’t gotten a chance to try them out yet, but might have to go for those coffee ones first.

I got this new bra from Intelliskin.

It’s a bra that helps with posture and recovery. Goodness knows I could use all the posture help I can get and I’m all for anything that helps with recovery and spinal alignment.

I’ll write an update once I sport it around a little bit.

Oh and I got my new issue of Runner’s World

this new Paleo By Season book

and this super cool Prep Pad that I’m doing a review on for a campaign with FitFluential.

I’m super excited about this gadget.

Yes, when you let your mail stack up for a couple weeks it’s kind of like a little hump day mail party.

Speaking of hump day, it’s time to show the rest of this day who’s boss.

Who’s with me?

Is anyone going to IDEA Blogfest or IDEA World?

What’s your favorite Trader Joe’s frozen pizza? (Mine is the roasted vegetable one.)

Did you get anything fun in the mail this week?
