And That Time When…..

I got dressed up and felt all special wearing my Erica Sara Designs bangle on a Saturday.

I thought I’d be able to pull off going to a family wedding and then make it to The Neon Dash I had registered for months ago just in time to run the 5K.

Yeah, I didn’t make it to the run.

Instead we ate our hearts out at the reception, enjoyed time with family and saw a beautiful sunset.

But, my friend Erin made it to the run with her friend and Elisia and her family ran The Neon Dash also. They were kind enough to send me a picture so I could feel like the boys and I actually made it down there. Ha.

Next year we’ll be there.

I slept in a bit today and got on the treadmill a little later than planned. I guess that’s my new thing (sleeping in past three alarms).

But, I finished up another season of Sex and the City and started a new Netflix show.

Oh yes. Everyone’s been talking about Orange is the New Black so I jumped on the boat. I only watched the first episode, but it’s going to be my new motivation for getting on the treadmill before the boys get up. I don’t want them walking in during any inappropriate language or anything. Ha.

11.11 miles at 1.0 incline. After a couple warm-up miles I stayed at a steady 7:49 pace or so at 1.0 incline. I stepped on the side a lot to get water, wipe down with the towel, etc. So I probably ran more like 10 miles instead of 11, but oh well.

Today’s run was ridiculously sweaty. I mean, not only my shorts were soaking wet, but my shoes and socks were too.

Pretty gross.

My plans for the day changed the second that this happened:

That time when Judah came up to me this morning and asked in the sweetest voice ever, “Mommy, do you have to do work on the computer today?”

Despite my mile long “to do” list and plans on possibly trying to catch up on some things, I looked at him, hugged him and said “no”.

Work can always wait. So it did. Time is love.

Instead we baked.

Gluten free green banana bread was the bread of the day. I subbed in unsweetened almond milk for the yogurt. The loaf of bread is almost all gone.

We picnicked.

I’m obsessed with cherries lately. I also had to have a little of everything cinnamon crisps with that lavash bread from Trader Joe’s, the bread we had just made and a Vega blueberry protein muffin.

We sang Happy Birthday multiple times. How cool is our “candle”?

We did arts and crafts. We cleaned.

And…… we decided we needed another family walk to end the weekend.

Same time of the evening, same place.

Only this time we were smart and brought walkie talkies in case anyone got lost.

Luckily no one did, but our little adventure ended a little something like this.

Oh, almost forgot to tell you about that time that I used one of my Yasso coupons at Target.

I love finding new healthy frozen treats.

I only bought the sea salt caramel one for now, but I’ll be hosting a little Yasso party later this month and I’ll definitely be trying out (and sharing) the other flavors. Who wants to come to a Yasso party?

That time I saw this purse on Zulily today and fell in love with it.

I had some store credit to spend and just couldn’t pass it up. They have the cutest purses on there right now. (Some of them are sold out, but there are still a lot of ones for $39 that retail at $200 or something like that.)

Oh and that time I randomly ordered this Great Lakes Gelatin from Amazon because of all the health benefits I’ve been hearing about and now I don’t quite know what to do with it.

If you have any pointers, please send them my way.

That time that the night ended a little something like this.

It was so darn good. You never know if it’s going to be as good as it looks on the box. Well, it was. Mmm hmm.

And, finally that time when I’m going to bed. I’m going to try to get back on the early morning wake up train this week and tomorrow is an even crazier Monday than normal for us. Eeeekkk…..

Good night.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

There are still a couple days to enter the Emergen-C GIVEAWAY. (I had a packet this morning after my treadmill sweat fest.)

Since you’ll probably be reading this Monday morning, here’s a little motivation for you thanks to instagram and Steve Maraboli.

I love this.
