Good morning!
My only running option the majority of the time is the treadmill early in the morning now that our stroller days are over. The boys and I can tackle some trails and hikes, but the furthest we’ve ever made it is 2 miles and that took a very long time. Ha.
Today the hubs is off and I jumped at the chance to get outside for a quick run.
I ran six easy miles as the sun came up and they were glorious.
I’m currently sipping on this smoothie to hold me over until breakfast.
Here’s what I threw in the Nutribullet- 1 cup Silk unsweetened almond milk, 1/4 cup leftover cold coffee, a scoop of Vega sport vanilla protein powder, some frozen blueberries, frozen pomegranate arils, spinach and crushed ice.
I know, a random mix of things, but smoothies are always like that aren’t they? It’s actually really delicious.
Last night I put this ginormous Elephant garlic from Frieda’s to good use by slicing it really thin and roasting it with a bunch of veggies.
My dinner didn’t turn out to be anything exciting, but the other night I mad a couple multi grain goat cheese, salmon and jalapeño spread pizzas that were delightful.
I’ll save snack chat for the next post and tell you more about these Quest Bar gems.
Right now, it’s more important to tell you that if you haven’t registered for Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles 1/2 Marathon on October 26th yet, you can now get $20 off with MAMAROCKSLA. Pretty cool huh? It’s a costume run friends!
Oh heck yes.
Mizuno Wave Sayonaras and my racing and treadmill running shoes. I just love them. The new Wave Sayonara 2 just came out last month. I wrote a full review on them here and ran my first marathon in them at the San Francisco Marathon 2014 last month and the half marathon a couple weeks ago.
