A Case of the Mondays and a Some Pretty Great Decorating

Today was a bit rough. Getting up to get the early morning run in was a little harder than expected and then the day just didn’t quite go as planned.

I managed to get through one of my harder workouts for the week though from Coach Jason.

After a couple warm up miles (and one time getting off the treadmill to check on the new kitties and my buddy Judah who was awake before dawn with me), I did 4 repeats at 6:44 pace with a minute rest in between. It was tough but man I bet it’s harder outside. I have no idea how to pace myself well outside. Inside the treadmill just does the work for me.

I thought 11.11 would bring me good luck all day. That wasn’t the case though.

Today was just a long one and at least twice I just wanted to cry a little bit because I missed the boys. I told Andrew and he said, “Yep. That’s what they call the case of the Mondays.” I guess I’ll get used to it.

I had some classes to teach at the gym tonight too so I’m pretty much done.

This is the last week with the Fitbit Blogger Challenge with Shape and Men’s Fitness.

Our challenge this week is to take it up a notch and get to 15,000 steps a day instead of 10,000. Well, obviously I forgot to wear it for my run this morning so it didn’t count for the challenge. I’m so smart sometimes.

I did still get over 13,000 or so throughout the day though.

Yep, I just took that picture and yep, that’s an empty Tupperware bowl that was filled with ice cream and just polished off. It was a long day.

The West Coast finally has the lead though in the challenge and this is the final week to enter to win your own Fitbit Charge. Did you know if also has call waiting? If someone calls your cell phone that you have synced to it the called ID shows up on the Fitbit Charge. Pretty cool, huh?

The boys were very busy yesterday not only helping me decorate, but doing some decorating in their own room also.

I know, I am extremely proud.

There’s something about sitting by the Christmas tree that is just brilliant, don’t you think? I kind of want to keep it up all year.

I’m sure it’s no surprise that this is my favorite ornament.

I just love this guy.

I love these guys even more.

He he.

I think our house is a little chilly for them. Thank goodness we now know how to make easy sweaters out of socks. I’m still hoping Andrew will let me start using the heater though.

I didn’t take any food pictures today. I’m pretty much eating on the go lately, but Sunday I made a marvelous breakfast egg white salad.

I scrambled my egg whites with some Applegate bacon and threw it on Trader Joe’s organic baby kale with lots of smoke seasoning and my favorite Scotty B’s sweet jalapeño hot sauce.

I’m seriously thinking of ditching my normal holiday cookie baking and just giving some of this hot sauce as gifts instead. I’d sure save a lot of time.

Did anyone else have a case of the Mondays? Gosh I hope it’s not a regular thing.

What’s your favorite Christmas ornament?
