Why Juan Pablo Is My Hero

those socks though...
The Bachelor. I hate the damn show. The success rate for love is minimal at best, it's becoming more and more comical and I always swear every season that I will. not. watch. ever. again. And just like that, I find myself tivo-ing the thing and shaking my head in such disbelief that these people actually exist?! Look up pathetic, silly, desperate…any other synonym of the sort and you have the men and women who sign up for such a circus.
Take last night for example. It was the finale with the fabulous Juan Pablo. He had two final women, both vying and dying for his affection, for his attention, his love and his proposal. On one of the dates with a woman in particular, he told her something so obscene and offensive that she wouldn't even repeat it when asked by the shows host. Even so, she stayed around until Juan Pablo gave her the ol' heave-ho.
Did she dump him on the spot like any self respecting woman would have? Of course not. She basically stuck around like a pitiful little puppy begging him to pick me! Pick me! Until he humiliated her once again on national TV.
The other girl? The one that got "chosen" in the end? Yeah, she had declared her love for JP early on, however when he gave her the final rose, all he could muster up was, "I like you. A lot." And then when she was being interviewed on the after show, after more than an entire month had gone by of them being together, she declared in front of everyone how in love she still was with Juan Pablo, how happy she was, how happy they were together.
And when the shows host asked her, "well, has Juan Pablo said the words 'I love you' back to you?" She made every excuse in the book for him.
"Well, not exactly. I hope he's in love with me, but we express things very differently, so, ummm, you know, I don't know? It's not that he doesn't tell me, it's just his actions, I mean, I know that he cares about me, but no, he hasn't ever said those words to me. But, I'm not gonna force it, it's on his time, and I'm happy in the relationship and I know he is too, so I think that should matter more then anything."
Are you kidding me? Is this lady for real?! Here you are, confessing your undying love for a man, it's been months and he still hasn't reciprocated your feelings but he's "happy" in the relationship so that's what really matters?? Damn straight he's happy in the relationship! You're a pathetic drooling hot body who he gets to f*ck anytime he wants! What man wouldn't be ecstatic about that!?
As angry as I got watching that damn stupid show, I wasn't angry at Juan Pablo. I couldn't be angry at him. He is a single warm-blooded American man. A typical one, at that. And most single typical warm-blooded American men wouldn't turn down a good-looking woman who was basically begging to jump their bones. Ninety-six percent of them wouldn't even turn down an ugly one.
Bitch, moan, rage, feminazi-me all you want, but it's the truth. And in fact, I kind of think Juan Pablo is badass. I mean, think about it. He got to "date" several women at once, kiss multiple of them, sleep with three of them in the span of three days, tell one to basically "f*ck off" and still have her down on her knees and then not propose to one who declared her love for him but instead tell her he "liked her" and still gets to bang her every chance he wants.
Juan Pablo is a douche?
More like Juan Pablo is a freaking genius!
He didn't have to do anything but show up! He didn't have to wine and dine these gals, he didn't have to work hard to earn their affection. He didn't swim through shark infested waters to bring them a lemonade, nor did he even lay down his jacket over a muddy puddle. Hell, he didn't even have to swear off having sex with other women! Juan Pablo was the man and had his pick of twenty hot, willing, pathetic and desperate "women" to do with as he pleased.
Every single one of them got what they deserved.
And Juan Pablo walked away a hero.

Kudos, man. Kudos.
