Since the day we arrived here in Phuket, it has been one heck of a ride for the Upshaw Crew! Just over a week ago, and soon after my family realized that we will have to extend our stay here in Thailand for at least a couple more months, we decided to move out of the resort where we were staying and began searching for a more fitting abode.

I find it always an exciting thing to do – viewing houses and apartments. I find it very therapeutic, actually. To me, especially if your life is slightly in a state of chaos, viewing houses can somehow remind you of the way things ought to be at home. Calm. Orderly. Secure. Balanced. Beautiful.

You, guys, might go on a trip to Phuket someday soon, and might need some good recommendations on where to stay. Phuket, being the biggest island in Thailand, boasts of countless hotels and resorts. However, if you’d ask me (knowing what I know now about this place), I would highly recommend finding a place in Rawai if you want to stay in an area within Phuket which is not so crowded and congested with tourists. There are lots of places to choose from in Rawai.

For those of you who might be looking into going on a very long vacation (no less than a month) I recommend the newly opened ( just opened last month, early December of 2013) The Title Phuket Beach Front Condominium. It’s located along Viset Road, directly facing Rawai Beach. Although it slightly differs from the “hotel & resort” setup that my family has been used to in the sense that The Title Phuket…

  • Doesn’t have its own restaurant
  • Doesn’t have its own gym facility
  • Doesn’t have its own spa facility
  • Has no wall-to-wall carpeted hallways
  • Has no fancy lobby lounge

…what I do love about this place is the very quiet ambiance that immediately embraces you the moment you step inside the gates. I also love the comfortable and welcoming contemporary interior and decor of their units. With walls painted in a basic neutral white, doors and trimmings in dark chocolate brown, accented with some black furnishings, it’s very easy to “nest” here, no matter what your design taste might be.

Other good reasons why this place might be a better option than a hotel or resort when it comes to long-term stay are:

  • The rate per room per day is definitely cheaper, but you get even more savings if you rent by the month, or six months
  • They have daily cleaning/housekeeping services
  • They also offer laundry service
  • There are many restaurants just outside the gate for your dining convenience, and they also deliver to the room
  • They also assist you renting a car or a bike
  • They can also get you a taxi whenever you need one
  • Each guest/resident is given his own security key card that’s used to unlock the gate and doors to the building and rooms
  • Each unit comes furnished with the basic amenities to make your stay comfortable and livable – dinnerware and tableware, cooking pots and pans, refrigerator, microwave oven, two-burner electric stove, air conditioners, entertainment system, heated shower, bath towels, bathroom tissue, etc.

Here are a few photos to take y’all on a little tour of The Title Phuket Beach Front Condominium.
