Many of the cool offices you see online all have one thing in common – a killer desk. I recently bought this Freedom trestle desk and absolutely love it. It’s simple and sturdy and being white means it’s easy to pimp out. If you don’t have the budget to splash out on a new desk then up-cycle an old table or desk similar to the way I’ve done so here. Otherwise you can always buy a plain white door and sit it over the top of your existing desk to give it a quick and easy modern makeover.
A mood board is really a great way to add interest to your workspace while inspiring you at the same time. You don’t have to shell out big money for one either. We love this simple DIY mood board above using some wire mesh from your local hardware store and cool bulldog clips and wooden pegs to hang your favourite pieces.
To achieve an uber-organised Pinterest-looking desk you’ll need some cool new storage options. Simple storage solutions are key to keeping your desk fuss-free. Clear the clutter with these cool navy and white wicker baskets here.
Plants and flowers always give a home office a lovely zen-like vibe. Check out some of these online DIY tutorials to create your own office greenery. We especially love these cute DIY concrete planters. If you don’t have time to get crafty them repurpose items you already have at home. Candle jars and vases make for great planters and succulents are super hardy so won’t require too much looking after either.
