NEWS: Dog Swimming Pool & Water Park Opens in Spain!

Brush up on that doggy paddle and blow up those inflatables – a new swimming pool and water park for dogs has opened in Spain!

As traditional boarding kennels become a thing of the past and owners opt for more luxurious accommodation for their dogs, one pet hotel in Spain has taken things a step further. Resort Canino Can Jane in Roca del Valles, about 30 minutes from Barcelona, has just launched a brand new outdoor swimming pool and water park for pooches! (Scroll down for a video).

Hot hounds staying at the 5-star pet resort can cool off as temperatures soar in the Spanish Summer. The new dog swimming pool has been designed to be just the right depth for dogs – both little and large, allowing them to get in and out easily. Pups can also play on water slides and extra-durable inflatables.

Founder of Resort Canino Cane Jane, Federico Cano told Metro: ‘I don’t see why dogs should not be allowed to enjoy a swim when the weather gets hot just like people can – especially here in Spain where it gets really hot. I designed it so that it was a little bit like a beach with a gradual slope that is exactly what dogs appreciate.’
