Rustic Glam Mason Jars

Hi Everyone!

It’s Dee from Meatloaf and Melodrama, and I’m back with an easy mason jar craft that’s perfect for fall decorating. I’m a big fan of the rustic glam look, and even though my own home is probably more rustic than glam, a girl can dream! Anyway, I’ve been noticing that metallic finishes are big this season, so I decided to make my own metallic decor, using spray paint and glass jars. But, I didn’t want the look to be too modern, so I created these rustic glam mason jar vases that can be used throughout the upcoming holiday season.

For this project, you’ll need:

  • Mason jars
  • Metallic spray paint
  • Twine
  • Burlap embellishments
  • Glue
  • Faux fall flowers or dried flowers

I love collecting glass jars, and I used three different sizes for this craft, but you can use whatever sizes you can find. I spray painted one jar silver, one gold and one a sort of aged copper. I always paint them upside down because I get an even finish this way. Can you tell the cardboard box has been used a lot?!

After the jars were dry, I took some twine and wrapped it around the opening of each jar. Then, I just tied the ends together and trimmed them with scissors.

I found these cute burlap flower embellishments in the craft store, and I knew they would be perfect for the look I was going for. I used hot glue to attach the flowers to the twine, so that each flower was in the center of each jar.

I bought some faux fall flowers and arranged them in the jars, and this project was done! That’s all it took to make these rustic glam mason jars, and I have to say I love how they look. If you want an even more rustic look, you can distress the paint with sand paper.

I’m thinking that by changing the flowers, and maybe the embellishments, you could use the vases for the entire holiday season, and that would definitely work for me!

Thanks for reading, PinkWhen fans. I hope you enjoyed this little craft, and I’ll see you again next month!
