My Sad Mac Sex & the City Night

Last week my computer died. More specifically, I turned it off and when I tried to turn it back on, I was met with a blue screen showcasing an apple logo and the spinning wheel of doom….forever… If you’ve been following along, I left my full-time stable job 1 month ago to work for myself. Much of my work is freelance marketing projects so I live and die by my computer. I did the responsible, adult thing and immediately panicked, leapt into my car and sped all the way to the Apple store like I had a sick, dying child in my passenger seat. The whole way there all I could think about was how long it had been since I last backed up (way too long) and how nice it would have been if someone was sitting next to me calming me down (Aidan).

Two and a half hours in the store and I learned that my hard drive was so full that there was not enough memory left for my computer to turn itself back on. Some moving of files and a $90 external hard drive later and I was on my way. At the end of it all, I couldn’t help thinking about how similar my experience was to the following clip from Sex and the City. Actually, as a single gal in my early twenties, I am amazed at how often experiences in my life are directly pulled from various episodes of Sex and the City. So, I give you a rundown of my Wednesday night (minus the man and the crashed hard drive).
