Super Random Post

Hello Friends! I'm so sorry for my lack in posts. Honestly, the last few months I've been so engaged in other projects that I've lost my zest for what to post here. *blush* This post is very random, but I'll share what I've been up to!
I discovered a new store called Craft Mart the other day, it's a bit pricey in my opinion, but nonetheless they had a neat selection of home decor, and a great floral department. I thought I would share this cute display above to give you some ideas if you're looking to spruce up your home this spring and summer. I love the those faux yellow flowers in the basket, perfect for spring and summer.
How about filling a pot or basket with some faux apples and pears? Super cute idea! I'm also really into trays now, because you can change them out in your kitchen often, just like the one below.
If you're into gardening, I thought these herb sticks were awesome. Who knew you could decorate your garden with these adorable sticks.
I've been into trying new recipes and LOVE this one. If you like Salmon, and want to BBQ it, all you do is wrap it in foil, add lemon slices, fresh tarragon, garlic, several slices of butter, and top it off by sprinkling sea salt on top. OMG....it is to die for, yes, it's THAT good! :-)
DELISH, I tell you, absolutely D E L I S H!!!
Zucchini is so good on the grill. I like to drizzle olive oil over the top of the zucchini and add Tuscan Herbs and sea salt. YUM!
We've been enjoying our new deck.
We are waiting to get it stained, but it's all dependent on the weather. We must have several consecutive days of sun, and it's been hit and miss out here with the rain, so I won't show the whole reveal just yet. We added a pergola, more to come on this...
We just added a patio and walkway in the backyard.
We are going to add a stone retaining wall with a sitting area towards the sloped area.
Our Swim Spa is sitting on what they call an EZ PAD, it's not concrete, so we had to find a way to conceal the look, so we added rock around the perimeter.
This rock will turn various colors of brown over the next few months, so it will blend well with the spa. So, that's a small update on our outdoor projects.
Ok, now I have a question. The other day I went to get my hair done. I get so antsy sitting in a chair for 4 hours waiting for my hair to process, so this time I asked for color, instead of highlights. BIG MISTAKE!
(This picture is from the 2nd processing, read more below.)
Every girl I find that does my hair always ends up moving, I have terrible luck sticking with one hairdresser, because of it. So, I went to someone knew and hoped for the best. Anyway, she left color on my hair for an hour and a half. When she shampooed me out, my roots were orange. Eek! So, she decided to put some highlights on top of my roots to "brighten" and "lighten" the look, so the brassy color wouldn't be so harsh looking. So, under the hairdryer I went for another 35 minutes. She weaved straight bleach in with a 40 volume peroxide.
So, this is what my hair looks like now, see the orange color running throughout? Here is my question? I went to bed last night and my head was super itchy from the chemicals. This morning I got up and there are scabs and bumps all over my head. My husband thinks they are chemical burns from being processed too long. My head was literally BURNING when I had the chemicals on. I mentioned it to my hairdresser, but she kind of brushed it off and said the processing wouldn't be much longer, so I suffered as I sat waiting for the timer to go off. What to do? I washed my hair this morning and my head was burning from the shampoo. Has this happend to any of you before? ----- We installed cabinets in our laundry room, and I've just about got it all decorated, so I'm hoping to share that next week sometime.
Well, as random as this post is, now y'all know I'm still around, I've just been busy! ;) Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend, everyone! XOXO ~Liz ~*~
