Creative Adjustments - Vignettes!!

Hello! I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the summer! My girl's last day of school is tomorrow, so it will be nice to slow down and relax a bit.
My favorite thing to do is create vignettes, so today I would like to share some groupings I've done around the family room. Join me and I'll show you around...
Let's talk FAUX FRUIT - Faux fruit is fun to decorate with and you don't always have to narrow the decorating down solely to the kitchen when using fruit. As you see above and below, all I did was take a green floral pick, I bent it into a circle and placed it on top of a wood pedestal and sat 3 green apples on top.
It looks fresh, fun, and summery. ;) I got the faux apples at Hobby Lobby, as well as the floral pic. The white pedestal I got at Hob Lob, too! I'm always adding height!
In the picture below, I placed some greenery in the pot and added a few FAUX pears.
The green plate adds a bright pop of color in the Entertainment unit.
I love items that have the Tuscan feel to them.
If you haven't had a chance to go to Hobby Lobby, make a MAD-DASH there as soon as you can. Hobby Lobby is ALREADY putting Fall and Christmas out and you know what that means..... MASSIVE MARKDOWNS!!! 88% off!! Head to the clearance section, you can get high marked items for next to NOTHING! A lot of the items I'm showing you I got there, just the other day. Anyway, this Roo is new and I love it! :)
I'm enjoying the pop of red, yellow, green, and blue.
Back to Faux Fruit, in the photo below I've added faux oranges to this wire decorative item.
On my fireplace mantle I added this Tuscan pot and placed a twig moss ball on top.
I enjoy grouping pottery together, so I grouped these three together.
I've been moving furniture around lately, so I moved this gate from my mantle over to another side of the room and grouped all these items together.
Below is a table that sits behind a chair and half. I wanted to add height, so I placed my faux plant on a candle holder and I placed my candle on top of two book boxes.
Once again, I don't always use my candle holders for candles. In this photo, I placed three garden balls (from Hobby Lobby) on top of each candle holder. I love the contrast, the dark brown with the light green, it pops!
Love. Love. Love.
In the photo below, I got the wall shelf at Hob Lob for $6.00 on sale. I sat the Jardin canvas on top.
I'm all about ambiance, so I added this little Tuscan lamp.
I love adding greenery to my vignettes because it "softens" and "fills-in" the bare spots, plus it also adds warmth.
This little grass pot reminds me of summer and freshly cut grass, ha!
I like to angle my book boxes and set something beside it, so it appears as though it's a bookend, even when it's not! ;)
I love my tuscan brown colors mixed with greenery.
I like to group my Fleur de Lis items together.
If you like the two decor items next to the topiary, those are on clearance for 88% off at Hob Lob. Cheap, cheap, cheap!!!
I like to add baskets behind things for texture.
Here's the Entertainment Unit decorated....
I placed two faux ferns on either side.
I snapped a picture from the outside deck, looking in the other night.
The sunsets have been A M A Z I N G!!! The flower basket hangs from the deck pergola, so I snapped a picture....so pretty!
Lastly, I've been blogging for many years and recently thought about throwing in the towel altogether. I really enjoy it, but sometimes it's good to sit back and enjoy your decorating as opposed to changing things up all the time for the mere purpose of sharing. So, for the summer months I will be posting less, but once Fall and Christmas and the holidays roll around, I will be back with a vengeance (hopefully). Seasonal decorating is what I love most. :)
So, with that said, I hope you'll stick around with me. Like I stated, I will still post every now and then during the summer months (when I have something new to share) but will
(hopefully) return to "regular-weekly" posting once Fall rolls around, which for me is late August, ha! Yes, I start early! :)
Enjoy the summer and enjoy the sunsets! Have fun creating vignettes, as they add character to your home!
I'll be back soon....
XOXO ~Liz
