Urban Decay says that the spray actually reduces the temperature of your makeup to keep it in place for over 16 hours! That is a staggering amount of time for any makeup to last on you without melting, cracking, fading or settling into fine lines. This is targeted at acting professionals, brides and others who would need to keep their makeup looking perfect without any touch ups, but it now has a cult following amongst everyone who loves makeup.
Packaging - Urban Decay All Nighter comes in a simple spray bottle. I actually have the old packaging, the new one is far more sleek with a white bottle and the signature purple UD on it. Design apart, the packaging is the same, it is convenient, sturdy and does the job. It is also easy to tote along in your handbag.
How To Use - You need to simply hold the bottle a few inches from your face and spray, similar to a face mist. The mist is really fine and your face doesn’t fell wet or dripping at all. It takes a few seconds to set and then you feel absolutely natural. There is no sticky residue – in a word, I don’t feel like wiping my face after spraying this.
Now I have to state here that I have never needed my makeup to last for 16 hours, so I have never tested this claim – ever. However there are lots of times when I need my makeup to stay perfect for over 8 hours in the hot humid Mumbai weather. I also have combination to oily skin and layering the primer sometimes makes me feel really sticky and hot. Enter, the All Nighter Setting Spray.
I have used Urban Decay All Nighter on numerous occasion and it makes the makeup stay perfect till it’s time to take it all off. In fact this is true for any makeup I have used, regardless of whether it is long lasting or not.
When its time to take it off, the make up comes off normally with any makeup remover.
The main difference between a primer and this is that this goes on top and not under the makeup – therefore other task that a primer does, of enhancing the makeup colours is obviously not something this can do. Given the lightness of feel, I’m happy to forego that depending on the occasion.

I love Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray , it is not a replacement for a primer but definitely works much better in the longevity department. I am definitely going to get the replacement the minute this is over. Absolutely a must have for anyone needing to use makeup for long hours.
