Gorgeous Bridal Hairstyles
Since Thanksgiving I have been fighting a horrific cold & not had much of a voice either. Because of that I haven’t felt much like getting tutorials edited, so I apologize for not having an actual tutorial to share today. But I do want to share with you some pictures that I’ve anxiously been waiting for!
Toward the end of last month, I was lucky enough to attend a class taught by the amazingly talented Stephanie Brinkerhoff from Hair & Makeup by Steph. If you don’t know who she is, I’m sure you’ve seen pictures of her amazing bridal hairstyles in magazines, Pinterest & Instagram. She has more talent in her pinky than I do in both of my hands!
Anyway, the class was only open to 10 people and everyone in attendance but me was an actual cosmetologist! I’ve got to admit I was a bit nervous at first – but in the end it was no big deal! We had an entire day full of Stephanie showing us some of her gorgeous styles on different models. It was the best.day.ever! The last 2 hours of the class we were able to bring in a “model” of our own and attempt a pretty style ourselves and get help if we needed. Goose was my model & it was fun to try some of the tips Steph gave in the class. After we were done creating our hairstyle they had a professional photographer (Stephanie West of My Blackbird Photography) come & take pictures of the final hairstyle. I’ve been waiting for these & finally got them yesterday to share! She did an amazing job.

I was pretty proud of myself when all was said and done! Looking at these pictures, I can’t believe she’s only 11 years old! It was an amazing day & I’m so glad I was able to have this experience. I can’t wait to create more amazing styles thanks to things I learned from Stephanie.
Oh, and here are a few of the amazing styles I got to watch be created right in front of my eyes! Sorry the picture quality may not be the best. I forgot to bring my real camera, so these are from my phone. Sadly the pictures don’t do them justice!
This one is probably my favorite of the entire day. Hard to believe this model was only 14 years old. She had hair like Bee and was at least down to her waist. Gorgeous!
