Hostel and Yucatan Photo Diary 1

Arriving Valladolid was such a different experience. I've been in Mexico for about 3 months and I haven't seen a city like it before... The streets were full of life, with locals selling things and singing along. It was a blazing hot day and we were on a mission to find the cheapest but not so sketchy hostel. We probably went to three different hostels in total (which all creeped me out) before we found Hostel Candelaria as seen in the photos below which was quite warm and welcoming. I liked the young traveller and spiritual vibe this hostel created. They had two kitchens and a few lounges to chill in as well. A buffet breakfast was also included with the stay which was pretty delightful as well. I made sure to snag a few pieces of bread from the buffet table before leaving. Though we only stayed one night we met some really great people here and were able to stay for a whole extra day just visiting and leaving our luggage there as we wandered the city and other cenotes. That's about it for today! More photos will be coming soon! -Bobby
