Your shadow will forever remain by your side, whether you ignore it or walk all over it, whether you see it or you don't. Your shadow won't leave you for a first boyfriend or for its own personal pursuits ... your pursuits are its pursuits, your path is its path. Sometimes you will lead your shadow, and sometimes your shadow will lead you. Sometimes it will make you feel taller and sometimes it will make you feel smaller.
