80's Baby

In Keith We Trust.

As my close friends know, I am very infatuated with the man that saw the world in a colorful, joyous, and highly energetic way. From Haring tees to Haring cleaning supplies (yes I own his doodles patterned on a broom), no style of art will ever make me as happy as his. As the early 80's progressed, Haring drew his language on the same scummy New York City subway walls I look at everyday, he made even the most dreadful places beautiful again. In a way he probably persuaded me more to attend college then my own parents... due to The School of Visual Arts being his place of study (before he got expelled for of course defacing school property... of course). Although he is gone, his soul is still here, and will never leave. Every year there is some kind of amazing Haring collaboration, exhibition, or tribute. A little bird is also chirping about a movie being made about the artist. No matter what age someone is or what point in time it may be, it is completely guaranteed that the love for Haring is ultimately universal.

Skirt: American Apparel | Jacket: H&M | Tank: Keith Haring for Junk Food | Sunnies: RayBan Clubmasters | High-Tops: Converse

Although this may be classified as a men's tank, this Keith Haring for Junk Food tank is extremely colorful and wearable. I mixed it up with a black and white striped skirt and a pair of converse.
