WIP: huntress cowl

Hi everyone!

Last week I was sitting on the couch with my fiancé (I got engaged! Whoo!), working away on my new Scheepjes project using their StoneWashed XL yarn…

When all of a sudden I realized – I was almost done! And I had only just started the project! :D Don’t you just love when that happens?

Most of you have already guessed it, but for those of you who haven’t: I’m making the Huntress Cowl by Two Of Wands! This pattern is really awesome; is has both crochet and knitted parts to it. If you really don’t knit, or don’t want to learn, there is now an updated version of the pattern with all crochet parts.

I really LOVED the way the knitted part looked, so I set out to teach myself how to do it! :)

I mean, how awesome does this look! Right? Maybe it’s because I’m a full time crocheter and am used to the textures that crochet creates, but I am in LOVE with this knit stitch! When I just made it I just couldn’t stop touching it and ooh-ing and aah-ing over it. But I’m sure that’s normal ;) I was however really proud of myself for learning how to do this. Spoiler alert: it’s not as hard as it looks! And because I knit it on 15mm knitting needles it was done in less than an hour.

I have finished the Huntress Cowl, but I won’t show it to you just yet; you have to wait another week for that!
