Describe your skin care routine in 5 words. Quick, effective, cleanse, nourish, refresh.
What's your skin type? It has gravitated from dry to combination this year, I think I prefer the combination skin as dry skin is particularly difficult to look after. However combination has presented all new challenges for me- in particular, my makeup keeps sliding off my face!
What's your favourite skin care product? At the moment I am really enjoying the Avene skin care range, in particular the eye cream and thermal spring water.
Top blemish zapper I'm not sure if I have a top blemish 'zapper' as such. I don't suffer too badly with blemishes and find that a good general skin care routine is enough to keep it looking good. On the spot treatments can be very drying so I wouldn't advise using them.
Face wipes yay or nay? Huge HUGE nay, its essentially wiping more bacteria on to your face and not taking any off and they are so drying. I definitely think that taking the time to use a cleanser and water is more than worth the effort.
High-end skin care or high-end make-up? For my skin, high end make up. But that is down to my skin type more than the fact that one is superior to the other. I find cheaper skin care is more than effective for my skin so there is no need to spend more money and I do have a soft spot for high end make up. More than anything though I think it is important to research and sample products rather than just gravitate to the high end counters in order to find the most appropriate skin care for you.
What's the most unusual skin care product you've tried? I'm not sure if there is anything that I have particularly used that would count as 'unusual'. In fact, what even counts as unusual in the world of beauty? Surely anything goes...
You're in a french pharmacy and can only pick up one item - what is it? Okay, firstly I cry that I am only allowed one product, who invented that awful rule? and then I would probably head for Bioderma as it isn't readily available in my local area.
Tell us your top skin care tip I honestly think that the only way a skin care routine will work is if you stick to it on a daily basis. Research is also really important: knowing what products will work for your skin type, having a working knowledge of ingredients, awareness of sensitivity levels and identifying your problem areas. Knowledge is power after all.
