Good Hair (Every) Day

Having long hair in Miami is no easy task. I mean, I have to deal with humidity, rain, salt air, intense sun and the blowdryer on a daily basis. Long hair in Miami takes a beating and I’ll be honest, I’m not always the kindest to my hair. I’ll pull it back when it’s wet, do a hot blowdry on it to get it dry faster, leave it in a ponytail for a full day and more….so when RICH hair care offered to send me their collection to try, I was like “oh yeah…bring it on!”.
I’ve been using these products for two weeks now and between us gals, I wasn’t expecting much…I mean, how often have you purchased a product that promises miracle results only to be sadly disappointed?
I have. I’ve done it a lot…epsecially with hair care so I wasn’t keeping my hopes too high when the package arrived. Obviously the products proved me wrong (or else I wouldn’t be here writing this post). And by proved me wrong, I mean they gave me the side-eye, looked at my hair and said “girl, we so got this.”
For starters, Will at RICH Hair Care was a rockstar and sent me a huge package of their bestsellers. I have never in my life had so much hair product but little did I know that a majority of them would soon become important fixtures on my beauty table. The picture above shows the products that have made it into my daily routine cycle.
1) The Hairspray- Let’s call this the Champs Elysee version of AquaNet because it has a serious hold but it’s uber luxurious. This hairspray is absolutely perfect to tame my wild strays when I want to wear a clean, slick back ponytail. I love, love, love it. And that’s a lot of love for a can of hairspray.
2) The Pure Luxury Argan Shampoo and Conditioner duo changed the way my hair felt after just 1 wash. No exaggeration. They brought my hair back to life by giving it a healthy glow. I couldn’t believe how much “happier” my hair was.
3) The Leave-In conditioner is a must for someone that has long hair. Personally, pulling the knots out of my hair is on my list of least favorite things to do so thank you to RICH for making such a fabulous product that not only eliminates my tangles but also nourishes my hair.
4) The Pure Luxury Intense Treatment Cream is so rich (pun intended) yet light. I use it right before I blow my hair out. I let the hair air dry a bit (when I have time) and then add this to protect it from the heat and help maintain its healthy glow.
5) The De-Frizz and Shine Mist is THE money shot. You just can’t live in Miami and not have this. That simple. I use it after I’m done with the dryer to tame any hairs that may have escaped and to add shine to my hair. I don’t think I could do my hair without it ever again. It’s just that good.
The rest of these products I have yet to try but believe me…I will. I’m gifting the Matte Texture Paste to the hubby for his locks so let’s see what he thinks. I’m planning on taking the Curl Enhancing Cream and Volume Spray to Europe this summer because I can let my hair be “free” there. That means, I don’t have to blow it out. There’s about 2% humidity in Switzerland and my naturally wavy hair is free to roam around. I’ll be adding these products to help manage it and keep it looking chic, not crazed ;)
