There better be treats for this + an impulse buy

Happy November!!

I want to truly thank you all for the sweet, most encouraging comments/IG/Tweets etc on yesterdays post. I have read every single one and will respond to each of you soon.

It’s been a tough year injury wise, but I keep reminding myself things could always be worse.

For example, the other day I was feeling lame about this whole hip thing, thinking about how terrified I am of surgery if it’s even necessary (we don’t even know that yet) I walked into Starbucks for an iced coffee and saw a double amputee ordering. I stuck up a conversation with him and it was so refreshing to hear his enthusiasm for life. He builds custom pool tables and he talked about it with so much passion.

Oops I didn’t mean to ramble on about that story, but it sure helped put things into perspective which I am extra thankful for. Goes to show you never know how just living your life can help someone else without even knowing it. If I ever see him again, coffee is on me buddy.

Let’s change the subject and talk about how enthusiastic Bam was about being Tigger for Halloween.

So not impressed mom. There better be treats for this.

Since when did you become that dog lady?

That’s it, I’m going to bed.

So yah, that was our night.

It was pouring rain, so I suspect that’s why we only had 4 trick or treaters. I was kinda bummed but hopefully there will be more next year. Now I need to figure out what to do with all this leftover candy. And why on Gods green earth did I buy the stuff I like? It’s a good thing I never claimed to be smart.

Maybe my impulse buy at Costco of The Skinny Taste cookbook will counteract the candy situation? While flipping through it, Mike saw several recipes he wants to try. I’ll let you know how they turn out.

Better get this day started. I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the extra hour tomorrow!

What was you last impulse buy?

What did you do for Halloween?

Do you dress up your pets?
