Lara Stone is one of the world’s top models and she has been very vocal on how her pregnancy made her change the way she sees both the fashion industry and her own body. In a previous interview, Lara spoke about how a fashion label refused to work with her after they found out she was pregnant which left her devastated at the time, and now she has also commented on how she felt about her own changing figure. Lara admits she didn’t work out during her pregnancy and gained quite a bit of weight. She says she is currently trying to accept her new figure:

”I wasn’t exercising a lot. I was just eating whatever I wanted; I wasn’t being careful about that at all. I was huge. It’s the way it is. Everyone’s got arm flab or saggy boobs. I’m just trying to accept it right now. And it’s OK, because the things women can do with their bodies are amazing.”

Lara says that she has tried to put her own insecurities to one side because she thinks just going through pregnancy and giving birth is so special and any woman should be proud:

”You have to sit there and really think about it. ‘Oh, I grew this little person’s fingernails in my tummy.’ After that, do you really give a s*** about arm flab? Because I don’t.”

Speaking on her son Alfred, Lara says he is a “huge monster” but she sees it positively. She admits her son knows what he wants already:

”He’s this huge monster – in the loveliest way. He’s very strong-minded and he knows exactly what he wants to do, and if it’s not right he’ll have a huge tantrum.”
