Victoria Beckham Went Through 20 Years of Clothes for Charity Sale

Victoria Beckham’s charity sale began today on TheOutnet.com and the singer-turned-designer has revealed that she went through 20 years of clothes in order to find over 600 items that are now a part of the sale and currently up for auction through the website. She commented that the memories came flooding back while she looked through everything she owned and there were many positives and even emotional moments from looking through all of the items:

”We went through 20 years of clothes and shoes, hundreds of boxes and rails, and it feels cathartic to have had such a big clear out for such a great cause. There was a lot of hilarity, some bad dressing up ‘selfies’ and a few emotional moments, too.”

The designer has still saved some items to pass on to her daughter Harper when she’s older, but has commented that she felt the items she chose were better put to use raising money for those who need it now and will be given to mothers through her chosen charity. She said that the sale has “more value” creating much needed funds than for her daughter to look at when she’s older:

”I’m very blessed that I’ve got a beautiful daughter to hand lots of things down to. But out there in a world where mothers are trying to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS to their own unborn babies, and where mothers are struggling to get the medication for their own daughters, these clothes have more value being sold online than sitting in a closet for another 20 years waiting for Harper to take an interest.”
