Easy Entertaining (The Tablescaper)

When I was first married I wanted to entertain but didn’t have the space in my little apartment. Here I was surrounded by all of these wonderful wedding gifts that I couldn’t use. I also didn’t have the time to prepare large meals. But, I wanted to see my friends and have my family over. My solution was to have people over for dessert. It was so easy that it could be done at the last minute. I’d stop at the bakery on my way home from work, pull out some of my wedding gifts, and be ready before the doorbell rang. Easy entertaining and economical entertaining. It was a whole lot cheaper to stop at the bakery then paying for an evening out.

My life is a whole lot different now and while I do have the space to entertain, I don’t have the time! When Staples asked me to review the Starbucks Verismo 580 Brewer I was thrilled. All of those wonderful memories of easy entertaining came flooding back to me but now I could make it even better. I could easily give my guests a host of choices of beverages!

It’s so fun to entertain but no one wants the hassle. Having people over for coffee and dessert makes it easy. The Starbucks Verismo 580 Brewer makes it even easier.

There is a water reservoir in the back of the Starbucks Verismo 580 Brewer. You insert the pod of your choice, pull down the lever and instantly have real espresso right in your own home.

The cup holder on the Starbucks Verismo 580 Brewer is adjustable so it can accommodate a small espresso or demitasse cup, as well as large mug. Without having a million gadgets in your home, this one machine easily makes lattes – with steamed milk, espresso, and regular coffee.

I was so excited to be able to pull out my Mom’s demitasse cups. I don’t think I’ve ever used them before.

I have to share a little secret. Truly my favorite part of the Starbucks Verismo 580 Brewer is that Mr. Scaper likes to use it! He’s not a huge coffee guy, but I can’t start my day without it. Mr. Scaper has taken to making me a cup and bringing it to our bedroom! Now clearly I can’t guarantee those kind of results for you, but you never know. I never would have guessed that would happen for me. Truly a fringe benefit.

The Starbucks Verismo 580 Brewer retails for $119.00 at Staples.The pods contain Starbucks coffee beans, so you get the Starbucks taste and quality. The one draw back is that users cannot use any other coffee pod brands, such as K-Cups, in the Verismo brewers. I received a Verismo brewer and pods for this review.
