NOW: CHRISTOPHER KANE FW14

I’m still trying to figure out why I’ve never featured Christopher Kane before as his collections represent accurately the British exuberance for which I have particular affection. For this Fall Winter season, Christopher turned things up with a major emphasis on tailoring. As expected, the silhouette is sharp, with playful twists from vinyl treatments, geometric patterns, colour blocking accents to molecular prints. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Kane collection without the geometric patterns, the streetwear cues and oversized silhouettes making him some sort of weirdo with this quite uncharacteristic style. If you follow his work on the women side, you will probably find some similarities, especially these quirky details, quite often minimalist but also sometimes radical like his use of gigantic atom imagery.
