GROOMING: IMMUNOCOLOGIE

Today’s I’m introducing you to Immunocologie, a new skincare brand launched this year and founded in NY. Its concept is based on an innovative new delivery system, developed around the science of the skin’s interaction with the immune system. Free of parabens, chemical emulsifiers, or fillers, the products are cold pressed, all natural and contain 15 vitamins and nutrients essential to proper immune functioning and epidermal ionic balance (calcium, cobalt, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc,…). While all of this sounds very complex, Immunocologie’s science is actually very simple. “We think of the skin as a capital. We are feeding the skin with what it needs, with the right elements without being disruptive to the skin,” says Karen Ballou, Immunocologie’s cofounder. “The core of our products is made of oil and purified water all encapsulated in a clay shell. Our oligo-elements are inside the clay to optimize their absorption when applied on the skin. The clay is the driving source.
