I’ve Been Avoiding My Blog

There’s a reason I haven’t posted in almost a month. But it isn’t a very good one.

Yes, I got married (and it was a perfect snowy day); Yes, Brandon has recently started a new job, stretching our resources as we adjust to his new schedule (which changes every week); Yes, I’ve taken about a month total off from CrossFit since November, thanks to my stitches, and then to my wedding, and then to recovering from my wedding.

But none of those reasons are why I haven’t been writing. Honestly, I have kind of been avoiding my blog. I haven’t even been visiting it myself, let alone writing for it.

I’ve started a few posts here and there. One about my wedding. Another about how I’m wondering whether or not I should do the Open, because I know I haven’t improved very much over last year, and don’t want to sign myself up for something just for the sake of comparison, when comparison is one of the last things that I need in my CrossFit life right now (or ever).

I even started a post about the things I eat when nobody is looking… things like saltine crackers with butter on top, salted pizza (yes, I add salt to the already saltiest food in the world), and Whole Foods chocolate truffles.

But I sort of let it get to that point where I felt like I hadn’t posted in so long, I had lost all my momentum. Ahh, intertia.

But with the Open coming up, with a lot of new WODs under my belt, and a lot of fun things going on over with the Girls Gone WOD Podcast (which I am still very much doing every week, and it’s SO fun), I figured that it was time to break out of the inertia. So, here we are.

I hope you all have had a wonderful January, and I look forward to seeing a lot more of you, at least a little more frequently. Get excited.
