Print-O-rama 2013

The next few weeks are bound to be excited ones if you are (like me) obsessed with all things PRINT and living in or around Dundee!

To coincide with the inaugural Print Festival Scotland and Impact 8 International Printmaking conference, which is taking place in our fair city- there’s a couple of things which I’m particularly looking forward to:

Live Screenprinting with Analogue Social

I’m so excited to be Live Screenprinting with Analogue Social on the evening of Friday the 30th of August 2013. Hailing from Glasgow, Analogue Social are responsible for organising creative gatherings- and their offering for Dundee is set to be FUN! I’ll be making screenprints on the night (it’s LIVE, afterall!) along with 5 other artists. There’ll also be a bar, DJ and an exhibition of the work we make following in the fortnight after.

Modern Masters in Print Exhibition

McManus: Dundee’s Art Gallery & Museum

Friday 23rd August to Sunday 17th November 2013

FREE ADMISSION

In the run-up to the arrival of the V&A at Dundee, Victoria & Albert Museum London are curating a series of touring exhibitions- including the forthcoming Modern Masters in Print Exhibition, which opens this Friday at Dundee’s McManus Gallery. Dundee will be host to works by Dali, Warhol, Matisse & Picasso for the next few months- which is rather exciting indeed! I’ll be heading along at the soonest opportunity- I can’t wait!

Alongside all of this- we’re currently working towards showing at Top Drawer Autumn 2013 this coming September 15th – 17th. We’ve got lots of new things to share whilst we’re in the capital city- but that’s another blog post entirely! More on that soon
