Yay, today I have my great friend Lisa from Mrs BC’s House of Chaos featuring as the Style and Beauty blogger. Lisa might say she isn’t a style or beauty blogger, but I know she wears clothes and bright lipstick.

How would your friends or family describe your style?

Stylish Casual with an Edge? Mostly black? I think sometimes friends and family are startled at my choice of shoe, or loud handbag or whatever – my neon jeggings sometimes surprise others. This is fine with me, I don’t feel the need to conform to other people’s sense of style. I don’t like to look conventional, although it’s hard to shake the ‘Corporate’ out of my wardrobe. I’m big on jeans with a blazer, an interesting shoe, a nice loose shirt and an arm party. I like to be comfortable, I like lots of black with loud colours, and I hate ironing; these three things probably drive my sense of style more than anything else.

You’re stuck on a deserted island with only Eric Northman (he will be remaining in Character) for company. What three beauty items would you take?

This is the best question I have ever been asked! My Irish skin burns easily so I would need sunscreen, even though I’d probably be up all night with Eric. I would definitely need lip balm and something for chafing in other areas of my body….maybe some nourishing moisturiser? I’d need to get my lashes tinted before I left so I wouldn’t need mascara. As for clothes, well gosh, I don’t think I’d need any!

What are two things you bought and never wore?

Sometimes I fall in love with the fabric of an item and buy it without considering whether the style of clothing actually fits me. I have a hot pink cross over cardigan in soft jersey that I love, but will never wear because it doesn’t suit my body shape – it really highlights my mummy tummy, which I hate. I also bought a gorgeous T-shirt years ago that I never wore because it was too short in the torso. Annoying! Neither of these items have been thrown away, I’m considering turning them into a cushion.

Describe your biggest beauty disaster (and do you have photographic evidence)?

I have two, and they happened on the same weekend. I had blonde streaks put in my hair that ended up being a really unpleasant shade of orange, and a family member tinted my eyebrows, which went orange to match my hair. There is no photographic evidence thank heavens, although I vividly remember going to the beautician’s to get my eyebrows fixed, and her shocked question of ‘What sort of dye did she USE??’

Style wise, who inspires you and why?

Angelina Jolie for her sense of uncluttered, streamlined, strong woman vibe. She wrangles all those children and Brad and still looks amazing! I know she has staff, but hey – she wrangles them too. I like Nicole Richie’s relaxed boho look, her accessories are divine but she never looks fully hippy, if you know what I mean. I loved all of the outfits in American Horror Story Coven (season 3) but that’s just me, I adore all things witchy and New Orleans.
