The words “leopard print”, “sparkles” and “hot pink” get thrown around a lot!
I’m a short and curvy kinda gal, so I always dress to flatter my shape and accentuate my curves.
I’d consider my style classic with a twist and I’m partial to a pop of colour, statement necklaces, stripes, blazers and denim.
My husband would probably say “fashionable” because every single time I ask his opinion, our conversation goes exactly like this…
Me: “Babe, do you like my outfit?”
Him: “Is that what’s in fashion?”
Me: “Yep.”
Him: “Looks good then.”
What are your must-have Summer wardrobe items?
Bohemian Traders dresses (the Dreamer and Ahoy are my personal favourites), a lightweight white jacket (the ultimate piece of the season), printed pants (the brighter, the better) and gladiator style wedges (the perfect mix of tough and pretty).
What are two things you bought and never wore?
I’m getting better and better at only buying things I love and wear all the time, BUT…
Recently it would have to be a black sequin dress I ordered from an online store that shall remain nameless. On the website it was a short-sleeve, loose fit, wrap style but what actually turned up was a long-sleeve, micro mini that I could only wear if I removed all of my internal organs.
Boohoo, indeed.
Describe your biggest beauty disaster (and do you have photographic evidence)?
This takes me back to my Year 12 formal. The year was 2001. My hair was (way too) dark, poker straight and parted in the middle. My tan was of the tandoori variety and my eyebrows were very thin.
I look at that poor clueless young girl and want to give her a good scrub, tell her to grow her eyebrows out and flick that damn part to the side.
Do I have photographic evidence? You bet.
Are you going to see it? No f***ing way!
What always makes you feel amazing when you wear it?
This might be a bit off topic, but… My husband’s fragrance. There’s something so sexy about his scent on my skin.
Plus I happen to think it smells better on me, just quietly.
