Holy cow, how is it Monday again? My weekend in D.C. absolutely flew by and now I feel like I need a weekend just to play catch up – thank goodness we have a long one coming up! I began editing my photos from the weekend last night on the train back to NYC but was not able to finish, thus, tomorrow will be a full recap of the amazing 36 hours.
If you know me well, you know I love trains, and that traveling to and from Washington I will argue it beats the bus every time. Plus, the woman across the isle from me yesterday had the most stunning vintage quilted Chanel bag and I was able to spend three and a half hours sneaking peaks at the beauty.
There are always a handful of designer handbags on my dream wish-list, far off in the distance but at this point, they are just that, a wish. However, if I was to buy a ridiculously expensive bag I would get it in a vibrant color. I agree with Aimee Song, who when she wrote about her shopping trip in Munich and said, ” Man, whenever I splurge on a handbag I always either choose red or blue. Always. I don’t know why every bag looks so much better in red or blue! I guess I just really love a pop if color!”
While I have not had the chance to be in her shoes I think I would definitely choose a cobalt over a black. I must say though, from Pinterest to People Magazine to Polyvore bright tangerine handbags have been popping up everywhere and I love them. I am not sure if I was to shell out the money it is the color I would pick but they sure do pop, Jessica, Renée, and Miranda prove it.
These bright bursts of color sent me on a fun search to find six of the most beautiful tangerine handbags I could find. I looked high and low for Renée’s Hermès Birkin bag above but had no luck but from the ones I did find my favorite is a tie between the Celine and the Prada:
Proenza Schouler ps1 Medium Leather Tote / Balenciaga Giant 12 Part Time Leather Tote
Elaine Turner Lola Tangerine Handbag / Prada Saffiano Pyramid Bag
What do you think of the color?
