CHAT IN A CHAIR: SIMONE GOOCH/FJURA

Welcome to the maiden entry in our new series ‘Chat in a Chair’ where we will be profiling some seriously interesting people who are both inspired and inspiring. Each ‘Chat’ will introduce you to someone in the creative world, their favourite chair, along with a whole lot of questions that we hope will shed a bit of light-hearted light on what makes them tick.

We are thrilled to have Simone Gooch of Fjura floristry fame as our very first ever guest!

The much-sought-after Simone, who named her business after the Maltese word for flower, is known for her verdant floral and foliage arrangements (including spectacular installations for the Arent&Pyke studio). Take what you think about florists and deconstruct it – that is Simone. The dramatic, the structural, and the moody are her hallmarks. Simone’s career in floral art started as an after school/weekend job and has evolved from there (in leaps and bounds we might add).

Most recently, Fjura has teamed up with Amasia homewares to create a unique pop-up residency (Fjura x Amasia Pop-up) at
3/138 Darlinghurst, Road, Darlinghurst.
