ELF Smudge Pot in Crusin Chic

Color me surprised: The ELF Smudge Pots are amazing little devils! Well, I’ve only tried one, and that’s the shade Crusin Chic. I can’t believe the staying power on this cream shadow. I wear it as a base, and it does not budge until I remove it, and that’s usually 12-14 hours later. These have some major staying power!

The texture of the Smudge Pot is very creamy; much creamier than other cream eyeshadows I have. It’s easy to use too much on the first try if you aren’t careful. I thought it was going to be harder to the touch like a MAC Paint Pot or Maybelline Color Tattoo, but this is a little more “whipped” in consistency, though it is not a mousse.

Crusin Chic with Colour Pop So Quiche over it

Crusin Chic is beautiful worn alone or with other shadows over it. I love it with my new MUFE palette, and my new favorite combination is using with So Quiche from Colour Pop. I have completely ignored my other cream shadows because I love Crusin Chic so much!

Crusin Chic, Starlooks Wyld, Mary Kay Beach Blonde, Physicians Formula Nude, Smashbox Topaz

The color is a brown taupe shade and it is very shimmery. I find that it is cooler in tone on my lids, but works well with warm and cool shadows. I don’t need to wear a primer underneath because it stays just fine without it.

I paid $3 for Crusin Chic at Meijer. I would repurchase and definitely want to check out some other shades to see if they are as great as this one!
