Melissa of The Key to Chic and I were just talking about how the spring trends at Target are flying off the shelves! I've seen the comments on Pinterest and Instagram about how shoppers are searching high and low for certain items because they are selling out so quickly. For this week, our theme is World Prints. A trend that has been around for a couple of years now is making a huge statement this spring. A little mix of bohemian, bright colors, and repeating patterns, make wearing this trend great for the weekend. But is it possible to wear this bold statement in the workplace? When I saw this Xhilaration print skirt at Target, I fell in love with it. Yellow is my favorite color and I don't own a bright yellow skirt, so I was excited to add this to my wardrobe. Figuring out how I could style this for the working girl, was a bit of a challenge. I wanted to show my unique fashion sense, but also keep it conservative. Pairing a black blazer like this one from Marc by Marc Jacobs via Crossroads Trading Co. over a simple white blouse from Forever 21 will keep your look sophisticated. A closed toed, but unique studded slingback from H&M can add femininity, and a roomy Mossimo tote will hold all your personal essentials.
