There was no actual prize for “winning” New York Fashion Week this season, but if there were, it would surely be awarded to Josep Font, creative director of Delpozo. The luxury prêt-à-couture fashion brand delivered an outstanding collection of fairytale gowns, fantastical creations, and sculptural shapes. Referencing the art of Josef Albers, the Madrid-based designer revisited sportswear, adding extreme proportions and voluminous structure. Delpozo’s chiffon separates dazzled with crackled vinyl pieces while embroidered tulle dresses floated with the delicacy of angels breath.
