Inez & Vinoodh Have A Clothing Line In The Works

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin have made no secret of the fact that they’re trying to build a lifestyle brand. The photography duo, who shoot for the likes of Vogue Paris and W magazine, have already launched a successful fine jewelery line and a unisex fragrance and now the pair have their eyes set on a clothing.

Talking to Style.com, van Lamsweerde revealed that we can expect a fashion line to drop by the end of the year that, ‘similar to our jewelry line, it will include things that we feel like we’re missing.’ A spokesperson for the photographers confirmed to Fashionista that the range will be more of an ‘apparel project’ rather than a full blown clothing line and beyond that, their stay quiet about the finer details.

The husband and wife duo are often spotted in quite paired-back, minimalist pieces so I can image that whatever they create will follow in a similar vein, which is an aesthetic that lends itself well to a unisex line. Either way, with years experience shooting the wares of the biggest, luxury fashion houses in the world, I’m sure whatever they produce will be interesting. The fact that their jewellery line has already picked up big stockists like Barneys New York, Colette in Paris and Net-A-Porter for online proved that they definitely have a knack for design.
