Favorites: November 2013

As each month ends, I’ll share 5 of my favorite products from that month. Think of these posts as recommendations of a handful of great beauty items!

Here are my favorites from November 2013:

1: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo: I purchased this shampoo and its companion conditioner at a local beauty store on a whim and instantly fell in love. It cleanses my hair so well and leaves my curls looking defined and bouncy.

2: Redken Fresh Curls Conditioner: Like the shampoo, this conditioner defines my curls so beautifully. It smooths any frizz and softens my hair, but never weighs it down. Both the conditioner and shampoo are a bit pricey (around $18 each), but I think they’re worth the price for the results they deliver. Also, both products pair really well with the other hair products I use every day, which you can read more about here.

3: Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel: This limited edition shower gel smells exactly like Lush’s Rose Jam Bubbleroon, which means it smells glorious. It has a gorgeous rose and vanilla scent and it’s just absolutely beautiful. Plus, this is the one Lush shower gel (that I’ve used) that leaves the skin lightly scented after a shower. It’s only available until Christmas Day, so grab one quickly!

4: Stella by Stella McCartney: I love this perfume so much! With notes of rose, peony flower, mandarin, rose absolute and amber, it’s floral, but still warm and cozy. Plus, the bottle is so sleek and pretty.

5: Revlon Powder Blush in Haute Pink: For much of this year, I strayed away from traditional pink blush and leaned more towards gold, apricot and neutral shades. But this fall, I returned to pink blush thanks to this beauty. It’s a matte bright pink shade that adds the perfect pop of color.
