SmittenPolish Summer 2014

Hey dolls! This evening I have photos for you of the SmittenPolish Summer 2014 collection. The collection features eight shades filled with holographic particles. I swatched these while on vacation in Louisiana, so you’ll see natural sunlight photos. I haven’t taken pictures outside in so long! It took some time for me to figure out the settings again.

SmittenPolish Girl Sprouts is bright grass green linear holographic polish. I just love the name of this polish and it makes me want to eat Girl Scout cookies. The formula was on the sheer side, but applied extremely well. Girl Sprouts was opaque in three coats. Super holo lovers will really enjoy this one.

SmittenPolish Her Name Was Rose is a magenta base filled with microglitter and holographic shimmer. The formula was great. It applied nicely in two coats and was very pigmented. Her Name Was Rose did dry to a slightly gritty finish, so top coat was applied.

SmittenPolish Jellyfish Rave is a purple microglitter filled with holographic particles. This shade is one of my favorites from the collection, as it has the perfect amount of sparkle! The formula was great and it applied evenly in two coats. The glitter caused it to dry to a gritty finish, so top coat was applied. Jellyfish Rave is the only shade that was taken indoors in my light box.

SmittenPolish Nuclear Sunshine is a lime green linear holographic polish. The formula, while sheer, was great. It applied nicely and built up to opacity in three coats. This is one of those shades that most will love or hate; I love it!

SmittenPolish Safety Dance is a bright orange linear holographic polish with strong pink undertones. This is another one that I love, as I’ve been addicted to orange polish lately. The formula was great and opacity was achieved in three coats.

SmittenPolish Seahorse Radio is a turquoise microglitter with holographic particles. The formula was sheerer than the other microglitters, but was not problematic at all. Three coats were used for opacity and top coat was applied to smooth out the glitter.

SmittenPolish The Oncoming Storm is a blue microglitter filled with holographic particles. This polish was super pigmented! You could probably get away with one coat, but two were used for photo purposes. The Oncoming Storm had a great formula and was extremely easy to apply. Top coat was used to smooth out the glitter.

SmittenPolish This Is My Tiara! is a silver microglitter filled with holographic particles. The formula was on the sheer side, but applied nicely. I used three coats in the photos below, but it seems like a fourth was necessary. It was not as patchy in real life. Top coat was applied to smooth out the glitter.

Overall, I’m a fan of the SmittenPolish Summer 2014 collection! The holos are in great shades and the microglitters pack just enough sparkle. I also like that the microglitters remove easily without a lot of hassle. SmittenPolish is currently on vacation, but be sure to keep up with them on Facebook and Instagram to find out when this collection will be available again.
