James Gibson

Huge, huge, huge day !

Hey guys I realise that things have been a little bit quiet around here recently but that's not to say I have not been busy filling the internet with the Gibson's. You may or may not have noticed I have been a little bit busy with a new daily vlog The Gibblets. You may have also noticed that my little old blog has allowed me to be accepted as a Butlins Ambassador. This last week has seen some major events and has been a roller-coaster ride. The daily vlog has only been up and running for a few weeks and we have already picked up 50 subscribers and are already getting to know some of the fans. It is something I love doing so much and I will talk to you guys alot more about it soon.

This Friday saw my baby boy have his last ever session at nursery, boy was it emotional I really had no idea how emotional. You can watch how the day went for us over on the Gibblets vlog channel. The thing which got me the most was how quiet he was on the walk home from nursery we felt it best not to film that bit as he was in need of our love an attention. As we walked down the school path you could see he was moving a lot slower than normal and not jumping about like he usually does. Then as we got out of the gates he turn to Mummy and just held his arms up and he just wanted to be cuddled. There were no tears but it was this moment it hit me how momentous a day this was for our family.

You can just hear it in my voice on Fridays vlog '
Big Day, Huge ! Wow !' when I walk down the stairs explaining about him being quiet on the walk home there is a lump in my throat. We actually changed our plans for the rest of the day so that we could distract him from the thought that it was all over. The ladies at nursery said he had spent the day giving Jo his Key-Worker cuddles saying he was going to miss her. If you remember back to when he first began he really struggled to settle in to nursery I think he built particularly strong relationship with the nursery ladies so he could cope. This is why I think it has hit him so hard and he feels so sad.

After we were home and for the next day he every so often came up to us and said 'I'm sad Mummy' he just wanted a reassuring cuddle and kiss then he would carry on. This really has been the first time I have seen my baby boy so upset by something and there has been nothing I can do to help.

Friday was a difficult day but now my baby boy will be going to school like a big boy and he will be begin to make his own story, he will be making his own way through life. This has been a huge day for our family much more huge than I had every thought !
