Sunday Funday: Summer Dotticure with FOA Screen Siren

Introducing the ‘Sunday Funday’ series! We saw an opportunity to share a bit more nail art on SoNailicious and that, happily, will also allow us to showcase even more new collections. Win win!

Today’s summer dotticure features the Face Of Australia Screen Siren limited edition collection. This nail design is partially inspired by the amazing dotticures of Lucy’s Stash, and partially by the colours of the Screen Siren collection.

Like virtually any dotticure, this look is very easy. Simply paint all nails in nude polish and while it’s still wet, create the pattern using a dotting tool. Start from the center with a large (in our case green) dot and then, starting with the innermost circle, create radiating lines of dots around it. If you don’t have a dotting tool, you can use a toothpick. Toothpick dots wont be as perfectly round or uniform as those created with a dotting tool but it will still look fine :)

If you need step-by-step how-to for creating dotticures, have a look at this Polka Dot Nail tutorial in our ebook.

Used: Face of Australia Screen Siren polishes – Travilla (nude), Some Like It Hot (orange), Isn’t it Delicious (green), Diamonds Are A Girls’ Best Friend (fuchsia), Essie Blanc (white), Essie Good To Go top coat and RuNail dotting tool.

Rings: Precious Stones Ring and Floral Crown.

So, how do you like this cute summer nail design? Do you use dotting tool for your nail art or have you got a better DIY idea?

Finally, what do you guys think about the idea of making ‘Sunday Funday’ a regular series? Want to see more nail art featured on SoNailicious or would you prefer to see more tips and how-to’s?
