GoodNites* TRU-FIT* For Better Nights’ Sleep

I want to thank GoodNites* TRU-FIT* for sponsoring this post and introducing me to their nighttime underwear – we’re trying it with Raya this month, and I’m really encouraged about not having to change the sheets a couple nights a week. Potty training went really well, and she’s been in her big-girl underwear for a while now. And it’s not that she reverts back – it’s just that at night, even after cutting off liquids earlier in the evening, she still has a wet bed a few nights a week.

It’s upsetting, of course, because she’s so proud to be a big girl! But a kid can’t sleep in a wet bed, so we both get up, clean up, and then try to get back to bed. You’d think it’s easier on her than on me, but it upsets her if she wets the bed. She’s been done with the training pants for a while, now (after all, she’s starting school in just a few short weeks!) so keeping things positive on the wet-bed-front is really important. She’s making great progress, but did you know 1 out of 6 kids between age 4-12 still have occasional issues with wet beds? I sure hope we don’t have years of this ahead of us, but if we do, I think I’ve found a great solution. GoodNites* TRU-FIT* is real underwear, with a super absorbent disposable pad insert. They’re machine washable, and they look and fit like actual underwear.

A new pad every night keeps my daughter confident about making it through. Bedwetting is something the American Association of Pediatrics has studied, and kids who wet the bed are too embarrassed to do fun night time activities – like go to sleepovers. Raya is quick to inform me that she had a dry night more times than not – but if she doesn’t, we don’t make a big deal of it, we just move on. She isn’t doing it on purpose, and she can’t help it. But it’s so much nicer to say, good morning to dry sheets and jammies by having the night time protection.

I also feel a lot better about letting her have some milk in the evening, if it’s not too close to bedtime. I was getting so nervous about it for a while, there – and letting her get dehydrated didn’t really feel like the best choice, either, just because she’s not as likely to wake in the night. Heck, even I get thirsty in the night.

GoodNites* TRU-FIT* come in 2 stretchy sizes for boys and girls. They’re sized S/M and L/XL, and the patterns and colors are the perfect blend of being fun while also being more mature. You can find GoodNites® at Walmart and Walmart.com – and if this sounds like a good product for your kids to try, then I also want to share with you that if you register at Goodnites.com, you can print a $3 off coupon for your first (or your next!) GoodNites* TRU-FIT* purchase.

You can also visit the Better Night Network at www.GoodNites.com and the GoodNites Facebook page for more information on bedwetting solutions and advice from trusted experts. I mean, I know what it’s like – and the more you know, the more you can do to help your child!
