Gold & Leather Curved Clasp Bracelet
So you guys know about my affinity for making bracelets, and you know I especially love to make easy bracelets. Really, all jewelry projects that I can make in 10 minutes or less are my absolute favorite thing to do! So I have one more quick glue-and-go leather bracelet design to share with you that’s simple and fast to make, and it looks great on your arm.
I’m going to leave links to the exact products I used, in case you want to pick them up for yourself to make this same design. - Gold curved magnetic clasp
- One 25cm length of licorice leather (I used turquoise) – you will only need about 4 1/2 inches, but it comes pre-cut. You can make 2 bracelets from one length of leather.
- Leather cutter
- Super New Glue
- Optional gold rhinestone bead
Trim your leather to fit – for me, that was 4.5 inches. You can test it out along your wrist to be sure it’s a good size, but mine is pretty average sized so you should be pretty safe! You will also have enough leather to make a second bracelet of this same style (gift alert! haha).
Add a few drops of glue into one end of the clasp. Press one end of your leather in, allowing any natural curve in the leather to curve toward the other end of the bracelet.
Then, slide your bead on, and glue the other end to the other side of the clasp. (And this is how the clasp opens, I wanted to show you. You don’t need to open it to glue it – I’m just sharing how this one happens to work.)
That’s seriously all there is to it! I did add a tiny drop of glue to the underside of the leather where I wanted my bead, so it wouldn’t slide around. That’s an optional step, of course. All the glue will need 5-10 minutes to dry before you can wear it.
I love that it’s half metal and half leather. It’s a great look that you don’t see often, but it fits right in with the trendy bangles people are wearing this fall! Plus, there are lots of colors to choose from if you’re on a different color kick right now.
