Toys That Grow With Your Kids: Fisher-Price Smart Stages

This post brought to you by Fisher-Price. All opinions are 100% mine.

Oh my goodness, is my son on the move these days! Just yesterday he took his first couple steps, and he is exploring everything. Sometimes it's the buttons on the TV, or the plastic containers in the cupboard, but he's got a few great toys that keep his attention well, too – any ball (he loves to throw!), and his new Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Playhouse.

I really like this thing, because it's one of the few toys both my kids can play with. My daughter is 3, and she loves to check the mailbox, invite in imaginary guests, and to pretend to cook in the pretend kitchen area. My son is all about the shapes and colors.

He loves turning the switch on and off for the light, and crawling in and out of the doorway. He's content to play peek-a-boo for several rounds before moving on to something else!

This fall, Fisher-Price has rolled out Smart Stages, allowing you to just adjust a switch as your child moves from one stage of play to the next. At Roman's age, it sings and prompts for colors and basic tasks on stage one. Raya can turn the switch to level 3 for imaginative play, and the prompts change.

So as your kids grow, the toy "grows" with them, so that they can easily move into other stages of play! They grow so much in those first couple of years, having a toy that helps them to explore, that encourages, and that they can pretend with, depending what stage they're in, lasts longer than the average baby or toddler toy (and that's a win in my book).

Right now you can save on your next purchase of select Fisher-Price Smart Stages toys at Coupons.com – you can print coupons for up to $5 off. The toys are available at the major retailers like Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, and Amazon.

My little explorer has really enjoyed checking out the colors, sounds and things to touch in his new playhouse.

What stage is your kiddo in right now? Are they an explorer? Do they respond well to encouragement? Or is pretend play thier thing? Wherever they're at, Smart Stages keeps up with your kids for activities tailored to their level!
