Oh my goodness, is my son on the move these days! Just yesterday he took his first couple steps, and he is exploring everything. So as your kids grow, the toy "grows" with them, so that they can easily move into other stages of play! They grow so much in those first couple of years, having a toy that helps them to explore, that encourages, and that they can pretend with, depending what stage they're in, lasts longer than the average baby or toddler toy (and that's a win in my book).
